Cukurova.info is an independent information portal about the Çukurova region of southern Türkiye. For privacy enquiries, contact us at hello@cukurova.info.
2. What data we collect
We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information directly. When you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects the following anonymised data:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Approximate geographic location (country / city — not precise GPS)
- Browser type, operating system, and screen resolution
- Referral source (how you arrived at the site)
- Anonymised IP address (Google Analytics anonymises the last octet)
This data is associated with a randomly generated analytics ID stored in a cookie, not with your identity.

We also store your cookie preference (cukurova_consent) and language preference (cukurova_lang) in your browser's localStorage. These are not cookies and are never sent to any server.

5. Third-party services
We use Google Analytics 4 (property ID: G-XT6C94HJ54), operated by Google Ireland Limited. Google may transfer data to servers outside the EU/EEA. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Analytics is only activated after you explicitly accept cookies. If you decline, no analytics data is sent.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR and KVKK you have the right to:
- Withdraw consent — clear your browser's localStorage and cookies at any time; the banner will reappear on your next visit.
- Opt out of Google Analytics — install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Request information — email us at hello@cukurova.info for any questions about your data.
Because we do not collect personally identifiable information, there is generally no personal data held that can be retrieved, corrected, or deleted on request. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymous.
7. Data retention
Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted. LocalStorage entries persist until you clear your browser data.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the most recent change was made. Continued use of the site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
